I painted six sea creatures for this set: a lobster, a jellyfish, a pufferfish, a starfish, an octopus and a seahorse. Each one is built up in layers of navy, indigo and cobalt watercolor, with soft edges and transparent washes where I let the paint run a little.
Deep blue looks great against white walls, light oak, linen and other pale neutrals. Hang all six as a grid above a sofa, console or bed, or split them up across a hallway, bathroom and home office so the sea creatures turn up all around the house.
Each set is made to order in my studio.
